DECEMBER BULLETIN: Read in Spanish here. A Note from Ms. Collins Dear WB Families, I cannot believe that it is already December! This school year seems to be flying by. We are quickly moving into the holiday season and have many fun events planned this last month of the year. Our annual holiday concert will be held Friday, December 9th at 2pm in the St. John Bosco church. This is one of my favorite days of the year – I hope to see you all there! In addition to fun celebrations, we are working very hard to help each student reach their academic goals this year. Teachers are using flexible learning environments, learner profiles, personalized learning plans, and competency-based progression to provide each WB student with a personalized learning experience. It has been an amazing first half of the school year! We will begin winter NWEA testing in December this year and will finish when we return in January. Collecting this data before Winter Break will help us build strong plans for each student for when we return in January. As always, we will use this data in strategic ways to ensure the most academic growth by the end of the school year. Please talk to your child about their personalized NWEA goals they are working towards! Remember we will not have school on Friday, December 23rd as we start our Winter Break. School will resume on Monday, January 9th. Please know that I am always available if you have any questions, ideas, comments, or feedback to help our school be the best that it can be! Come talk to me anytime! Have a wonderful holiday season with your family! I look forward to seeing all of you in the new year! Sincerely, Ms. Colleen Collins Director, CICS West Belden Upcoming Dates
